Barbara (Sheer) Glasscock, age 79, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on July 30, 2019. She was born February 5, 1940, in Pickton, TX, to John Bartlette Sheer and Cordie Ruelle (White) Sheer. Barbara was a loving mother, wife, and grandmother who served on the PTA. She loved her family very much. In her free time, she loved to paint, crochet and create stained glass. She will be missed deeply.
Barbara is survived by her daughters: Mandy Corns and husband Donnie of Lavon, TX, Kim Peoples and husband John David of Point, TX, and Lisa Butler of Royse City, TX; grandsons: Errin Farley of Paris, TX, and Jonathan Butler of Royse City, TX; granddaughters: Kelsie Thompson of Royse City, TX, Kaitlin Peoples of Point, TX, and Shelby Corns of Lavon, TX; four great-grandchildren; ex-husband: E.H. Glasscock of Caddo Mills, TX; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandson: Seth Peoples; and her parents.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be held 1:00 pm Monday, August 5, 2019, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. Donations may be made in her honor to the Dallas SPCA at https://www.spca.org/give.
