Nicholas James Schroder, age 26, of Midwest City, OK, passed away on August 12, 2019. He was born July 16, 1993, in Rowlett, TX, to William Henry Schroder and Valerie Joyce (Zirger) Schroder. Nicholas attended the University of Texas at Dallas and received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He loved to read and enjoyed playing computer games, traveling, piloting gliders and powered aircraft. Nicholas was a weapon historian. He loved his dog BB-K9. Nicholas was Punny, intelligent, and always willing to try something new. He will be deeply missed by those who loved him.
He is survived by his parents: Bill and Val Schroder; brother: Edward Schroder; aunt and uncles: Debbie and Rob Powell, Dorothy and David Fitzmorris, Andrew and Tina, and Kenneth Schroder; and grandfather: Ricardo Wilson.
A celebration of Nicholas’ life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
In lieu of flowers the family has set up a scholarship fund to help CAP Cadets enjoy the extras in the Cadet Program like NCSAs and to encourage them to pursue a STEM Education like Nick did.
