James A. Scott, Jr., age 86, Poetry, TX, of 27 years, passed away on September 8, 2019. He was born June 1, 1933, in Dallas, TX, to James Allen Scott, Sr. and Hattielee (Barnes) Scott. James was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. James was a good man. He would give up anything for his family. He was a Dallas firefighter for 30 years. He was strong and hard-working. He will deeply be missed.
James is survived by his loving wife of 68 years: Doris Scott; daughters: Debi Greenfield and Vickie Giddings; grandchildren: Misty Skinner and husband Mike, Deric Gray, and Erin Giddings; great-grandchildren: Jordan Skinner, Zoey Skinner, and Colby Skinner; and sister: Delores Harrell. He was preceded in death by his son: Randy Allen Scott; and his parents.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 12, 2019, at Chisholm Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Norman Harrell.
