Chrystal Ray (Moody) Pannell, age 77, of Rockwall, TX, passed away on October 2, 2019. She was born January 1, 1942, in Ruleville, MS, to Ray Moody and Louise (Brower) Moody. Chrystal was a resident of Rockwall for 38 years and owned the popular Route 66 Classic Diner. She will be missed dearly by everyone who loved her.
Chrystal is survived by her daughters: Linda Kilgore and husband Ron, and Paige Pannell; grandchildren: Ashley Wallace and husband Bo, and Kris Gibson and wife Dawn; sister: Linda Reynolds; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband: Jim Pannell.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 am Monday, October 7, 2019, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
