Applications now available to fill Fate City Council vacancy

The Fate City Council invites interested residents of the City of Fate to apply for a vacated elected position. The appointment is to fill the unexpired term of City Council Member, Place 3.
To be eligible, a candidate must be at least 21 years of age, a resident of the City of Fate for at least 12 continuous months at the time of application, and a qualified voter of the City of Fate.

Each Council Member is expected to attend all City Council meetings regularly scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on the first and third Monday of each month. Special Meetings are generally scheduled periodically as needed. Council Members also serve on a number of subcommittees, commissions, and boards. Meetings are held at Fate City Hall located at 1900 CD Boren Parkway, Fate, Texas.

Applications are available through the City Secretary’s Office and online at www.CityofFate.com/CouncilApplication. Completed applications must be received by the City Secretary’s Office by 5:00 p.m., Friday, November 29, 2019. Applications may be submitted by any of the following methods:

The City Council will interview Applicants in open session at the City Council Meeting being held Monday, December 2, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Fate City Hall.
