Clyde Wayne Talley, age 78, of Rockwall, TX, was reunited with his beloved wife Paula Jean when he went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2019. He was born September 16, 1941, in Dallas, to George and Lillian (Seine) Talley.
Clyde was a warm, sincere man who smiled brightly and laughed often. He took great pride in his life’s work as a home builder and treated everyone he met with kindness and respect. Over the years, he spent countless hours restoring classic cars in his garage, drinking Coors Lite on his patio, and re-watching John Wayne movies with a boxer by his side. But the time he cherished most was that spent with his family. Clyde married the love of his life, Paula Jean (Mullins) Talley, in 1962. Together, they had three rowdy boys and shared the joy of watching them become great men.
Clyde is survived by his sons whom he loved dearly: Doug Talley and wife Lisa of Rockwall, TX, Chris Talley and wife Shannon of Houston, TX, and Craig Talley and wife Jamie of Rockwall, TX; brother: Jerry Talley and wife Barbara; nephews: Darren McWhirter and wife Karen of Royse City, TX, and Buddy McClung; nieces: Jeanna Jackson of Forney, TX, Kathy Pena of Rowlett, TX, and Robbie McClung and Elizabeth McClung of Dallas, TX; brother-in-law: Ray McClung of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law: Beth McClung of Dallas, TX; grandchildren: Berkley, Maggie, Avery and Cole Talley; great-nieces: Caroline McClung, Belamy Gonzalez, and Shelby McClung. He was preceded in death by his loving wife: Paula Jean (Mullins) Talley; sister: Carol Talley; and nephew: Ray McClung, Jr.
Clyde loved and was loved by so many. Please join the Talley family in remembering his wonderful life. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 22, 2019, at First Baptist Church in Rockwall with Pastor Steve Swofford officiating. Interment will follow in Rockwall Memorial Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, November 21, 2019, in the Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location.
