Lynette (Levy) Mallette, age 70 of Garland, TX, passed away December 13, 2019, after a short, hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born July 31, 1949, in Alexandria, LA, to Leonard Levy and Jewel Ruth (Perkins) Levy. Lynette retired as a Program Analyst with the federal government after 44 years of service. After retirement, Lynette enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whom she dearly loved.
Lynette was a selfless person who always put her family above all else. She deeply loved her family and cherished the friends she had made over the years. Lynette is survived by daughter: Kristen Guerra and husband Chris of Garland, TX; sister: Suzanne Mirabal of Austin, TX; grandchildren: Alexander Guerra, Samantha Guerra, and Genevieve Guerra; nephew: Michael Mirabal; niece: Marisa Mirabal; and a host of extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Celebration of Life services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, December 21, 2019, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Location.
