Charsetta (McLean) Robinson, age 77 of Fate, TX, passed away July 6, 2022. She was born July 21, 1944, in Brenham, TX, to Roger McLean Sr. and Leenolia (McNeil) McLean. She met her future husband, Kelly, in 1963 at Healing Temple Church of God in Christ. They married May 22, 1965, and moved from San Antonio, TX, to Dallas, TX where she became a member at the Pentecost Church of God in Christ and served in several auxiliaries as a member for over 47 years. Charsetta and Kelly enjoyed many beautiful years of marriage and had four wonderful children. Charsetta enjoyed a long career as a registered nurse and loved taking care of her large family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her beloved husband: Kelly Robinson, Jr.; children: Aubrey Dewayne Robinson and girlfriend Mary, Arlene Robinson, and Charlene Brooks and husband William; grandchildren: Mashanda Smith, Shaquita Robinson, Chante Robinson, Wayland Brooks, Jaden Brooks, Leenolia Robinson, Derrick Arnold, Alenia Robinson, Ari Robinson, Chris Robinson, Ebony Robinson, Kelly Robinson IV and Alexis Robinson; great-grandchildren: Briyah Smith, Jeremiah Smith, LaNaya Robinson, Amaya Robinson, Jaylen Watson and Jaliyah Watson; siblings: Ruth and husband Freddie, Norris and wife Pauline, Michael Wayne and wife Ervia, Jacelyn Marie and husband Anthony, and Brian Allen; and goddaughter: Roslyn “Sister” Green. She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Kelly Robinson III; brother: Roger McLean Jr.; sisters: Elnora Jackson, Iris Kindred, Kathrine McLean and Lenor McLean; and one granddaughter: Audrey D. Robinson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Pentecost Church of God in Christ, 502 Quincy Drive, Garland, TX, 75040. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A gathering of family and friends will be held at the church Wednesday morning, prior to the service, beginning at noon.
