John David Seeley, age 65, of Rockwall ,TX, lost his fight with cancer and passed away July 24, 2022. He was born January 16, 1957, in Battle Creek, MI, to Orvie Earl Seeley and Delores Ellen (Stressman) Seeley. John met his beautiful wife-to-be, Sally Barton, and they were married July 4, 1987, in Knights Landing, CA. After receiving his Master’s Degree, John enjoyed a long 37-year career as a human resource manager. He worked in various locations around the country, finishing his last years at Zulily in Nevada. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity and the Society of Human Resource Management.
John will be remembered as a diplomatic man, a gentle warrior and proud father with a strong Christian faith in his Lord and Savior. In his free time he loved sitting on his back porch enjoying his view of Reno, collecting sports trading cards and gaming at the local casinos. John will be missed forever by those who loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Sally Seeley; son: D.J. Seeley and wife Emily; granddaughter: Evelyn Joy Seeley, whom he dearly loved; sister: Judy Allen; brother: Jim Seeley and wife Christine; nieces: Lisa Hajra and Cathy Gordon; and nephews: Glen Allen III and Matt Seeley.
A celebration of John’s life will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, August 1, 2022, at Reflections at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Location with Pastor Russell Rogers officiating.
