Rosie Gonzales Morgan passed away peacefully on August 21, 2022, at her home in Rowlett surrounded by her loved ones. She was 71. Rosie was born August 3, 1951, in Dallas to Efraim S. and Esther (Herrera) Gonzales. Happily married for 40 years, she was a wonderful wife and a blessing to her entire family. Rosie loved family time, traveling, eating out, and especially time spent with her beloved grandson Cole. She was a faithful Christian and enjoyed holding ladies’ Bible study at her home. Rosie enjoyed her flower garden and spending time with her pets. She was retired from Employers Insurance. Her sweet presence will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Rosie is survived by her loving husband: Chris Morgan; step-daughter: Stephani Alexander; grandson: Cole Alexander; sisters: Margaret Bacon, Andrea Newman, Alice Martinez, and Linda G. Lopez; brothers: Jimmy, Mike, David and Frank Gonzales; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Irene Perez, and Juanita Lopez, brother Efraim H. Gonzales Jr., niece Esther Y. Washington, nephews Malachi Vargas and Stephen Perez.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Rest Haven Funeral Home Rowlett. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will gather with friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
