David Edward Trammell, age 79, of Garland, TX, passed away September 09, 2022. He was born June 11, 1943, in Benton, AR, to Ruby (Carden) and David Richard Trammell. David was a loving husband to his wife Sandy for fifty years. He served in the U.S. Navy and enjoyed a long career in the Dallas Morning News. He was an avid sports fan who liked watching the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. David loved all things outdoors including fishing and hunting, but also had a passion for reading. He will be dearly missed.
David is survived by his loving wife: Sandy Trammell; daughter: Carrie Bowdre and husband Wade; granddaughters: Whitney Martin and husband Cody, and Leslynn Odell; grandson: Steven Odell and wife Tracy; brother: Allen Trammell and wife Carol; sister: Linda Martin and husband Hap; nieces: Kami Pikey and husband Robert, and Tesi Lyn Stewert; nephew: David Trammell and wife Amy; great niece: Brooklyn Trammell; great nephew: Tyler Trammell; and eight beautiful great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Trammell Kepley, his father David Richard Trammell, sisters: Bonnie Speer and Virgina Stewert, his brother Richard Trammell, and great grandson Raiden Bowdre.
