Entering fully into her heavenly home, Joyce Ann Bodine, age 71, went to walk with the Lord on September 6, 2022. A longtime resident of Royse City, Texas, she was born on February 10, 1951 in Durant, Ok., to Juanita (Ingram) and Bevin Lee “Tiny” Williams.

Joyce was a loving mother, wife, and the best Grandma/Maw Maw who shared her love for God with her family and countless others. Her faith and family were everything to her. Her favorite scripture was James 1:12, “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised.” Her loving kindness and strong faith was shared and admired by family and friends as she felt led by God to teach Sunday school for 47 years. She was a member of the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Nevada, TX. She will be missed dearly.

Joyce is survived by her son: James Edward Bodine, Jr. and wife Donna; daughter: Christy Hampton and husband Glen; grandchildren: Forrest Walker, Kendall Walker, Elexxus Walker, and James Dawson Bodine; sister: Jaquita Morris and husband David; sisters-in-laws: Sally Blankenship and Betty Moyer; and many beloved nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews and very close family friends. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband: James Edward Bodine, Sr.; and her parents.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Monday, September 12, 2022, at Lone Star Cowboy Church in Nevada, TX. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. A celebration of her faithful legacy and/ life with family and friends will be held from 3:00pm to 5:00pm Sunday, September 11, 2022, at The Gathering at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall location
