Paul W. Schafer, age 76 of Sherman, TX, passed away October 1, 2019. He was born December 3, 1942, in Garland, TX, to Joe and Nannie Schafer. Paul served his country in the U.S. Air Force and also as a U.S. postal worker in Garland and Ardmore, OK. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.
Paul is survived by children: Michael and Marisa Schafer of Scottsdale, AZ, Wesley and Daisy Schafer of Perry, MI, John Schafer of Sherman, TX, Timothy and Kimberly Schafer of Forney, TX, Nicole Schafer of Sherman, TX, Kelli and Wayne Hill of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren: Mila, Madyson, Stone, Steel, Loren, Sophia, Bayler, James and NataLee. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Patsy, brother J.W., and sister Fernell Gowen.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Friday, October 4, 2019, at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will gather with friends at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Location Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
