We had our biggest attendance turn out of the year coming in at just under 100 people!! Thank you everyone for coming today to hear from the Mayor Janet Nichol, Mayor Joe Burger, City Manager Carl Alsabrook and Superintendant Kevin Worthy. SO many great things coming to Royse City and Fate Just to name a few: new lights on Main Street that will light up black and gold to coincide with the wonderful accomplishments the kids at RCISD have! More parking is coming for downtown Royse City, a new Fire Station is in the works for later next year, Storm Sirens are fully funded and will be at 7 different locations! Starbucks will be located along I-30 on the Walmart side and also a Bier Garden will be on Main Street as well! Fate is the the fastest growing city in the entire State of Texas with a population right now of over 17k! They have some exciting businesses and the location of RCISD’s second Middle School; Bobby Summers Middle School opening in August 2020.

The RCISD Edcucation Foundation is celebrating their 10th Anniversary this year and to date has raised over 500K in the last ten years that ALL goes back into the classrooms to teach our children. In a poll the district sent out to new parents in the district the question asked was: “What made you choose RCISD?” The number one answers was “The location and QUALITY of schools!!”

This is a WONDERFUL time to be a part of Royse City/Fate. The leadership, partnership and friendship we share with these folks is such a blessing to all!!
